Nicolás Mamán
Creator of Aether, an actor-based systems language that compiles to readable C.
I design and build Aether, an open-source language aimed at high-performance, low-level work: native code, no virtual machine, no garbage collector. I collaborate in the open and welcome ideas, code, and feedback from the community.
Aether is an ambitious, long-running project. I care about a clear language direction, disciplined design, and contributions that fit where the language is headed.
Projects
- Aether An actor-based systems language that compiles to readable C. Native, no VM, no garbage collector.
- ae3d A 3D engine and scene editor in Aether, with switchable OpenGL and Vulkan backends. The next generation of gopher3D.
- aephysics A rigid-body physics engine in Aether, built for ae3d and usable from any Aether program.
- undiscovered Looks for research in one field that another field could use but has never cited. It starts with a public test, planned in advance, of whether such connections can be predicted; the result will be published whichever way it comes out.
- gopher3D An open-source rendering engine written in Go, where ae3d began.
